L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. & Dipl. C.H. (NCCAOM), M.T.C.M.Livia Hall has been in private practice in Boulder, CO since 2004. She received her Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Los Angeles, California in 2002. Livia's acupuncture treatments include a highly effective fusion of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese acupuncture, Tuina bodywork and a strong emphasis on optimal nutrition to achieve one's health goals. A typical treatment with Livia involves acupuncture with moxibustion, Tuina bodywork, Chinese herbal prescriptions as well as detailed dietary guidance.
Livia's nurturing practice is enhanced from her 15+ years as a private chef. Her intimate connection with food began in her grandmother's Hungarian kitchen and evolved into an interest in multicultural and health-enhancing foods and eating habits. Livia believes that preparing food and eating well are a cornerstone to good health and happiness. Livia's training includes Western and Chinese Nutritional Therapy. She has presented talks at Pharmaca and Yo San University educating about simple and effective use of diet to prevent disease during different stages of one's life.
Livia's acupuncture experience includes providing treatments at an HIV/AIDS clinic in Los Angeles, as well as at a low cost family health clinic in Venice, California. She volunteered at UCLA Medical Center Oncology Dept., and has spent time treating Veterans, Children and Elderly patients.
Livia treats a wide array of ailments from musculoskeletal injuries and digestive diseases to stress and immune dysfunctions. With her down to earth practical treatment style and medical knowledge, Livia educates her patients on what they can do in conjunction with their treatments in order to achieve optimal health and long term results.
